Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Local Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care under the supervision of Registered Nurses and physicians. The Local LPN will deliver direct patient care, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, nursing care plans, and facility policies and procedures
- Assess patients, obtain vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and promptly report changes to the supervising Registered Nurse or healthcare provider
- Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV therapy (where permitted), treatments, and other nursing interventions within the scope of practice
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, specimen collection, and other clinical procedures as assigned
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort measures
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, disease management, preventive care, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, medications, and responses in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and continuity of care activities
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition following established protocols
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, HIPAA regulations, patient safety protocols, and facility policies
- Promote a compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care environment while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Licensed Practical Nurse experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, medication administration, patient assessment, and clinical care practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based nursing care
Pay Rate
$37.48 - $42.36/hour
