Basic Job Description
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a nursing home provides direct patient care to residents, assists with daily medical needs, administers medications, and works closely with Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure quality resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor and record residents' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed.
- Observe and report changes in residents' health status to the RN or physician.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Compact State LPN License (NLC) or an active State LPN License in the state of practice.
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Pay Rate
$29.31 - $34.19/hour
