Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of nursing staff. The LNA will assist patients with daily activities, monitor basic health needs, maintain a safe environment, and support the healthcare team in delivering quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and other basic patient information as directed.
- Observe patients for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the RN or healthcare provider.
- Provide comfort, emotional support, and respectful patient care.
- Assist with meals and encourage appropriate nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient rooms and care areas.
- Assist with repositioning and pressure injury prevention.
- Collect and transport specimens as permitted within scope of practice.
- Support nurses and other healthcare professionals with patient care activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation according to organizational procedures.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and facility policies.
- Promote patient dignity, privacy, independence, and comfort.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant/LNA training program.
- Active LNA certification or registration as required by the state.
- Current BLS certification preferred/required based on assignment requirements.
- Previous healthcare or patient-care experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of patient care, safety, infection prevention, and vital signs.
- Strong communication, teamwork, reliability, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical duties such as standing, walking, lifting, and assisting with patient transfers.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous hospital, skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or home care experience.
- Experience caring for geriatric, medically complex, or rehabilitation patients.
- Strong patient and family service skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
- Commitment to compassionate, respectful, patient-centered care.
Pay Rate
$17.00 - $19.74/hour
