Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Job Summary

The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) provides professional social work services to individuals, families, and groups in accordance with established standards of practice. The LMSW is responsible for assessing client needs, developing and implementing care plans, providing counseling and case management services, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support client well-being.

Required Education

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • Valid Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)

  • Primary Source Verification required

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience working as a Licensed Master Social Worker

  • Knowledge of social work principles, practices, and ethical standards

  • Ability to conduct psychosocial assessments and develop appropriate treatment or service plans

  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify needs, strengths, and barriers

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care or service plans

  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and supportive services as appropriate

  • Coordinate referrals and community resources to ensure continuity of care

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, community agencies, and other stakeholders

  • Adhere to all NYSED, organizational, and ethical guidelines for social work practice

Pay Rate
$65.67 - $70.55/hour
