LDRP RN – Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum
Position Summary
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period. Monitor maternal and fetal conditions, support safe deliveries, and provide education and compassionate care to patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, and labor progression.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist with labor, delivery, and obstetric procedures.
- Provide immediate postpartum and newborn care.
- Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies and changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and families on recovery, newborn care, and discharge needs.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow safety and infection-control standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- LDRP, Labor & Delivery, OB, or postpartum experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong maternal-fetal assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced maternity environment.
Pay Rate
$83.33 - $88.21/hour
