Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) to provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care throughout the childbirth process. The LDRP RN will care for mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum, ensuring safe, high-quality care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using fetal heart monitoring and clinical assessments.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, oxytocin, epidurals, and other prescribed treatments.
  • Assist physicians, certified nurse midwives, and obstetric providers during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
  • Provide immediate newborn assessments and routine newborn care.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to maternal, fetal, or neonatal emergencies.
  • Support breastfeeding education, newborn care, postpartum recovery, and family-centered care.
  • Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, newborn care, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
  • Fetal Monitoring certification or competency required or preferred based on facility requirements.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent LDRP, Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, or Women's Health nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric nursing, maternal-newborn care, fetal monitoring, postpartum recovery, and neonatal assessment.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
