RN – LDRP
Position Summary
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, support safe deliveries, and provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns.
Responsibilities
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, and labor progression.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods.
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed.
- Recognize and respond to maternal or fetal complications and emergencies.
- Provide newborn care and support breastfeeding and bonding.
- Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team.
- Follow patient safety, infection-control, and clinical standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and active RN license in the applicable state.
- Previous LDRP, Labor & Delivery, or OB nursing experience preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NRP preferred or as applicable.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$79.52 - $84.40/hour
