Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced LDRP Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby units. The RN will adapt to varying patient care needs, support families throughout the childbirth experience, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality maternal and newborn care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for patients during labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care as assigned
- Perform comprehensive maternal and newborn assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize complications, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as prescribed
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies as needed
- Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, pediatric providers, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and maternal-child health standards
- Float between LDRP, Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, and related units based on staffing needs
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Fetal Monitoring certification (or as required by the facility)
- Minimum 1 year of recent LDRP, Labor & Delivery, or Mother-Baby nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and obstetric nursing skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly and provide care across multiple maternal-child units
Pay Rate
$90.96 - $95.83/hour
