Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP Float Pool to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients across the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units. The RN will float between assigned women's health units based on patient care needs, ensuring safe, compassionate, and family-centered care for mothers and newborns.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for obstetric patients
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, epidural support, and other prescribed treatments
  • Monitor fetal heart tracings and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention
  • Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
  • Provide postpartum care and newborn assessments
  • Float between Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, Nursery, and other assigned women's health units as needed
  • Educate patients and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions
  • Respond promptly to obstetric and neonatal emergencies
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification required or obtained per facility policy
  • Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP, Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, or Women's Health nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric nursing, fetal monitoring, maternal-newborn care, and emergency obstetric interventions
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred

Pay Rate
$90.96 - $95.83/hour
