Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) to provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The L&D RN will monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assist with deliveries, provide patient education, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery
  • Perform fetal heart rate and contraction monitoring and recognize changes requiring intervention
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, epidural support, and prescribed treatments
  • Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
  • Provide immediate postpartum care for mother and newborn
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies and assist with neonatal resuscitation as needed
  • Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatology staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
  • Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred or required based on assignment
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric nursing, fetal monitoring, maternal-newborn care, and emergency obstetric procedures
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity labor and delivery environment

Pay Rate
$75.71 - $80.59/hour
