L&D RN
Provide specialized nursing care to women throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The L&D RN will monitor maternal and fetal conditions, administer medications and treatments, assist with deliveries, and support patients throughout the childbirth process.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rate, uterine activity, and maternal vital signs.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Recognize and respond to maternal or fetal complications and emergencies.
- Provide postpartum care and monitor maternal recovery.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, newborn care, and postpartum needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
- Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
Pay Rate
$81.81 - $86.69/hour
