Laboratory/Phlebotomist
Position Summary
We are seeking a Laboratory/Phlebotomist to collect, process, and prepare patient specimens for laboratory testing. The role will ensure accurate specimen handling, patient safety, and timely documentation.
Responsibilities
- Collect blood and other specimens using proper techniques.
- Verify patient identification and specimen information.
- Label, process, and transport specimens accurately.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy training or certification as applicable.
- Previous phlebotomy or laboratory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of specimen collection, handling, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$22.15 - $27.03/hour
