Laboratory Technologist (MLT or MT)
Perform clinical laboratory testing to support the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient conditions. The Laboratory Technologist will process specimens, perform accurate laboratory analyses, maintain equipment, and ensure reliable test results.
Responsibilities
- Collect, receive, process, and prepare patient specimens for testing.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests according to established procedures.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Review and verify test results for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot testing issues.
- Identify and report abnormal or critical results according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers regarding test results and specimen requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Current MLT or MT certification/license as required by the state.
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
