Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) to perform complex laboratory testing that supports the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The Medical Technologist will analyze specimens, operate laboratory instrumentation, ensure quality control, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely patient results.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, coagulation, urinalysis, and blood bank.
  • Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens according to established laboratory procedures.
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Verify and accurately report laboratory test results in a timely manner.
  • Perform quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing according to laboratory standards.
  • Recognize abnormal results and notify appropriate healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, laboratory safety procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in laboratory quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through ASCP or an equivalent certifying agency.
  • Active state laboratory license if required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methodologies, quality control, and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$45.22 - $50.10/hour
