Labor & Delivery / Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery/Med-Surg RN to provide safe and comprehensive nursing care to patients in both obstetric and medical-surgical settings. The RN will monitor patients, administer medications and treatments, support labor and delivery care, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions, vital signs, fetal heart rate, and contractions.
- Provide nursing care to medical-surgical patients based on their clinical needs.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist with labor, delivery, postpartum care, and related procedures.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond to emergencies.
- Provide wound care, pain management, mobility assistance, and other nursing interventions.
- Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery, newborn care, and discharge needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical care standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Labor & Delivery and Med-Surg/acute care experience preferred.
- BLS certification; NRP, ACLS, or other specialty certifications as applicable.
- Knowledge of maternal-newborn care, fetal monitoring, and medical-surgical nursing.
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, dependable, professional, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$72.66 - $77.54/hour
