Labor & Delivery RN
Position Summary
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Monitor maternal and fetal conditions, support safe deliveries, and provide compassionate care to patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments.
- Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, and maternal vital signs.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor and delivery procedures.
- Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies and changes in patient condition.
- Provide postpartum and immediate newborn care.
- Educate and support patients and families throughout labor and recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow safety and infection-control standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Labor & Delivery/OB experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong maternal-fetal assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
