Position Summary
We are seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care to women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The RN will monitor mothers and newborns, assist with deliveries, administer medications, and support patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients throughout labor and delivery.
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and fetal heart rate.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and procedures.
- Provide postpartum and newborn care.
- Recognize and respond to maternal or fetal complications.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Follow infection control and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Labor & Delivery or LDRP experience preferred.
- Knowledge of maternal, fetal, and newborn care.
- BLS and NRP certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Ability to respond effectively to high-risk and emergency situations.
- Strong communication, assessment, and teamwork skills.
Pay Rate
$74.19 - $79.07/hour
