Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. The RT will assess, treat, and monitor patients while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide safe, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and prescribed respiratory medications.
- Operate and monitor ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems.
- Perform ABGs and other respiratory assessments as required.
- Assist with airway management and emergency respiratory interventions.
- Respond to rapid response and code situations.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes promptly.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and facility policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Active Hawaii Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Current RRT or CRT credential.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ventilator management, airway care, and respiratory treatments.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- RRT credential preferred.
- Acute care, ICU, Emergency Department, or critical care experience.
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
