Inpatient Pharmacist (IP Pharmacist)
We are seeking a skilled Inpatient Pharmacist to provide safe and effective medication management for hospitalized patients while supporting physicians and the healthcare team in delivering quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense medications for inpatient patients.
- Evaluate medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, and contraindications.
- Provide medication recommendations and clinical support to physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient medication therapy and identify potential adverse reactions.
- Prepare and manage IV medications and other specialized medications as required.
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare staff.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
- Follow medication safety, infection control, and pharmacy protocols.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree.
- Active Pharmacist license as required by state regulations.
- Current BLS certification preferred/required based on role requirements.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and inpatient pharmacy practices.
- Previous hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
Pay Rate
$75.71 - $80.59/hour
