Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services across both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and maximize independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions
- Treat patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical conditions
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, body mechanics, and fall prevention strategies
- Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices, orthotics, and adaptive equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Complete accurate evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of care between inpatient and outpatient services
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in inpatient, outpatient, or mixed rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical rehabilitation
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedic clinics, skilled nursing, or home health settings
- Previous travel or contract therapy experience preferred
- Experience treating patients across diverse age groups and diagnoses
- Board Certification (OCS, Company, GCS, SCS, or PCS) preferred
- Dry needling, vestibular rehabilitation, or manual therapy certifications preferred
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to patient-centered care
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
