Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Inpatient CT Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations for hospitalized patients. The CT Technologist will operate advanced imaging equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, administer contrast when appropriate, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans according to physician orders and established imaging protocols
- Prepare and position inpatients for CT procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast media as appropriate and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Evaluate image quality and communicate urgent findings to the radiologist when necessary
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS system
- Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Assist with emergency, trauma, and critically ill patients as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) or CT registry eligible as required by the facility
- Active state radiologic technologist license, if required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT imaging experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, and contrast administration
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient hospital environment
Pay Rate
$81.05 - $85.92/hour
