Imaging – Ultrasonographer
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in evaluating and diagnosing medical conditions. The Ultrasonographer will operate advanced imaging equipment, obtain high-quality diagnostic images, ensure patient safety, and provide compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Obtain and document high-quality diagnostic images, measurements, and relevant findings.
- Perform abdominal, pelvic, vascular, obstetric, small-parts, and other ultrasound studies as required.
- Review patient history and clinical information before examinations.
- Position patients appropriately and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and imaging protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient and examination documentation.
- Recognize and communicate urgent findings according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS certification or eligibility preferred/required as applicable.
- State licensure or credentialing as required.
- Previous ultrasound experience preferred.
- Strong technical, analytical, and patient-care skills.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced imaging environment.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
