Imaging – Echo Technologist
Perform diagnostic echocardiography examinations to evaluate cardiac structure and function. The Echo Technologist will operate specialized ultrasound equipment, obtain high-quality cardiac images, document measurements, and provide accurate technical information to support diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound studies as ordered.
- Obtain high-quality 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color-flow images.
- Measure and document cardiac structures, function, and hemodynamic parameters.
- Review patient history and clinical information before examinations.
- Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and perform routine quality checks on echocardiography equipment.
- Recognize significant findings and communicate concerns according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate examination records and documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and imaging standards.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- RDCS or equivalent echocardiography certification preferred/required as applicable.
- State licensure or credentialing as required.
- Previous echocardiography experience preferred.
- Strong technical, analytical, and patient-care skills.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
