Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse
Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex medical interventions. The ICU RN will assess patient conditions, administer medications and treatments, monitor advanced clinical parameters, and respond rapidly to changes in patient status.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients.
- Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and other clinical parameters.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor ventilators, invasive lines, drains, and other critical care equipment as appropriate.
- Recognize and respond promptly to patient deterioration and medical emergencies.
- Assist with procedures and advanced life-support interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment and care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and critical care standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
