Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill and medically complex patients. The RN will continuously monitor patient conditions, administer advanced treatments and medications, manage critical care equipment, and collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients and develop individualized care plans.
- Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other critical care treatments.
- Manage and monitor ventilated patients and assist with airway management.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
- Assist with procedures such as central line placement, arterial line management, and bedside interventions.
- Monitor laboratory and diagnostic results and communicate significant changes to providers.
- Provide wound, catheter, drain, and other specialized critical care interventions.
- Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment plans and clinical conditions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and critical care protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency interventions.
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, or other critical care settings.
- CCRN certification preferred.
- Experience with mechanical ventilation, vasoactive medications, sedation, and invasive monitoring.
- Strong ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Pay Rate
$61.23 - $66.11/hour
