Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ICU RN will assess, monitor, and treat critically ill patients requiring advanced life support and continuous monitoring while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care for patients with life-threatening illnesses, injuries, and post-operative conditions.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, ventilators, and other critical care equipment.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, vasoactive drips, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
- Manage invasive lines, central venous catheters, arterial lines, chest tubes, and other critical care devices.
- Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$87.14 - $92.02/hour
