Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to provide specialized care for critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. The ICU RN will assess patient status, administer advanced treatments, monitor life-support equipment, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality critical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for critically ill patients
- Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and respiratory function
- Administer medications, IV infusions, vasoactive drips, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
- Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and other life-support therapies
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and invasive monitoring devices
- Respond to medical emergencies, code blue events, and rapid response situations
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or Critical Care nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$87.14 - $92.02/hour
