Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide timely and compassionate nursing care to patients with a wide range of urgent and emergency medical conditions. The ER RN will assess patients, prioritize care, administer treatments, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid and comprehensive assessments of patients presenting to the emergency department.
- Prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical needs.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
- Initiate and assist with emergency interventions and procedures.
- Respond promptly to cardiac arrests, trauma, and other life-threatening emergencies.
- Perform wound care, medication administration, specimen collection, and other nursing procedures.
- Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures or treatments.
- Provide patient and family education, support, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and care.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and emergency department protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous emergency department or acute-care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- PALS and/or TNCC certification preferred based on position requirements.
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing practices and patient assessment.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
