Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Obstetrics Registered Nurse (OB RN) to provide exceptional nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. The OB RN will collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and care for antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using fetal monitoring and clinical assessments.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and obstetrical procedures.
  • Provide newborn assessments and routine newborn care.
  • Educate patients and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, postpartum recovery, and discharge instructions.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric and neonatal emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required.
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, or Women's Health nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of maternal-newborn nursing, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, and neonatal assessment.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$75.71 - $80.59/hour
