Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The Clinical Nurse will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, administer treatments, and evaluate patient outcomes while working independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team.
The role requires caring for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric populations, while adhering to established nursing standards, physician orders, and organizational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Provide nursing care for patients across all age groups.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
- Current certifications required:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- Additional certifications required after hire:
- NRP within 1 year
- TNCC within 1 year
- ENPC within 1 year
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 6 months
- Emergency Severity Index (Client) Level 5 within 3 months
- Patient Sitter Competency Training upon hire
Schedule:
- Flexible to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
Additional Information:
- Experience with Allscripts EMR preferred.
- Holiday coverage is required.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
