Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide rapid, safe, and compassionate care to patients with urgent and emergency medical conditions. The ER RN will assess and prioritize patients, administer treatments, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist with emergency, trauma, and resuscitation procedures.
- Start IVs, collect specimens, and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with procedures.
- Provide patient and family education and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality-care standards.
- Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license as required.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous ER, ED, or acute care experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred or required as applicable.
- PALS or TNCC certification preferred for applicable settings.
- Strong emergency assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, professional, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$66.57 - $71.44/hour
