Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
Position Summary
Provide skilled nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. Perform rapid assessments, administer treatments, and support timely, safe patient care in a fast-paced emergency department.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid nursing assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity.
- Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist with emergency procedures.
- Provide wound care, pain management, and other emergency nursing interventions.
- Collect specimens and assist with diagnostic testing.
- Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Follow patient safety, infection-control, and emergency care standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and active RN license in the applicable state.
- Previous Emergency Department or acute care experience preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or as applicable.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and clinical skills.
Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
