Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide immediate, high-quality care for patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. The ER RN will assess, stabilize, and treat patients of all ages while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced emergency department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care using established triage protocols.
- Provide direct nursing care for patients with medical, surgical, traumatic, and life-threatening conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and response to treatment.
- Assist with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and life-saving interventions.
- Operate and monitor emergency equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and infusion pumps.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with emergency physicians, specialists, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- Current PALS certification required or obtained within facility guidelines.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Trauma nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, trauma care, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and critical care principles.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
