Endoscopy/Special Procedures Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy/Special Procedures RN to provide safe and specialized nursing care before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The RN will monitor patients, administer medications, assist with procedures, and support quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and prepare patients before endoscopy and special procedures.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, sedation, and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygen levels, and patient response during procedures.
- Assist physicians with endoscopic and other special procedures.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and appropriate positioning throughout procedures.
- Recognize and respond to complications or changes in patient condition.
- Provide post-procedure monitoring and discharge education.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection prevention, sterile technique, and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia staff, and the multidisciplinary care team.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Endoscopy, GI, procedural, PACU, or critical care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of procedural nursing, patient monitoring, sedation, and recovery care.
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
- Compassionate, dependable, professional, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
