Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech) to support physicians and nursing staff during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The Endo Tech will prepare procedure rooms, maintain endoscopy equipment, assist during procedures, and ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments while providing safe, high-quality patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare procedure rooms, endoscopy equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures
  • Assist physicians and nurses during upper GI, lower GI, bronchoscopy, and other endoscopic procedures
  • Prepare, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain endoscopic equipment and accessories
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopes and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and infection prevention standards
  • Assist with patient positioning, transport, and preparation before and after procedures
  • Collect, label, and transport specimens according to facility protocols
  • Monitor inventory and restock procedure rooms with necessary supplies
  • Maintain accurate documentation of equipment reprocessing and procedure support activities
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, sterile processing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an Endoscopy Technician program or equivalent healthcare experience preferred
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy Technician or GI procedure experience preferred
  • Knowledge of endoscopic procedures, instrument handling, and high-level disinfection practices
  • Familiarity with endoscope reprocessing standards and infection prevention guidelines
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment

$45.22 - $50.10/hour
