Emergency Department RN
Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. The Emergency Department RN will assess and prioritize patients, administer treatments, monitor clinical conditions, and respond quickly to changing patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments and triage.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments.
- Assist with trauma care, procedures, and resuscitation.
- Recognize and respond promptly to medical emergencies and patient deterioration.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Provide patient and family education and emotional support.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow emergency department, infection control, and patient safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
