Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to provide rapid assessment and emergency care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions. The RN will prioritize patient needs, administer treatments, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid triage and comprehensive emergency patient assessments.
- Prioritize care based on patient acuity and clinical condition.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and changes in patient condition.
- Establish and maintain IV access and assist with procedures and emergency interventions.
- Respond to cardiac arrests, trauma alerts, rapid responses, and other emergencies.
- Assist physicians with airway management, procedures, wound care, and resuscitation.
- Collect specimens, obtain ECGs, and monitor diagnostic results as required.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and emergency care protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, triage, medication administration, and critical care.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN preferred.
- TNCC certification preferred.
- PALS certification preferred for applicable patient populations.
- CEN certification preferred.
- Experience with trauma, stroke, cardiac, and critical-care emergencies.

Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
