Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care for patients with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and medical emergencies. The ED RN will perform rapid assessments, administer treatments, assist with emergency procedures, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely, safe, and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on clinical acuity
- Provide emergency nursing care for patients with medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes requiring immediate intervention
- Assist physicians with emergency procedures, trauma care, resuscitation, and stabilization efforts
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and emergency department protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, patient-centered care environment
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
