Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist to assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology procedures. The EP Technologist will prepare equipment, operate specialized mapping and recording systems, monitor patient status, and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of patient care in the electrophysiology laboratory.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the electrophysiology laboratory, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic EP studies, cardiac ablations, pacemaker, ICD, and CRT device implantations
  • Operate EP recording systems, 3D mapping systems, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
  • Monitor patient cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and hemodynamic status throughout procedures
  • Assist with sterile field setup and maintain aseptic technique during procedures
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as directed and permitted by scope of practice
  • Troubleshoot and maintain EP equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Document procedural data accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and EP recording systems
  • Collaborate with electrophysiologists, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection prevention, HIPAA, and patient safety standards
  • Participate in emergency procedures, quality improvement initiatives, and on-call coverage as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related allied health program
  • Active RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist), ARRT, RCIS, or equivalent credential preferred or required based on assignment
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required or obtained within the timeframe specified by the facility
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Electrophysiology Lab experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology procedures, cardiac anatomy, arrhythmias, and sterile techniques
  • Experience operating EP recording systems, mapping systems, and fluoroscopy equipment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred

Pay Rate
$82.09 - $86.97/hour
