Electrophysiology Technologist
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology procedures. The technologist will assist physicians during EP studies and ablation procedures, operate specialized cardiac imaging and mapping equipment, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure patient safety throughout all phases of care.
Responsibilities:
• Assist electrophysiologists during diagnostic EP studies, ablations, and device-related procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies for EP cases
• Operate and troubleshoot EP recording systems, mapping systems, and fluoroscopy equipment
• Position patients appropriately and ensure comfort and safety during procedures
• Monitor patient condition, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status during procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols
• Manage catheters, sheaths, guidewires, and EP-specific equipment
• Document procedural data accurately and maintain equipment and supply logs
• Assist with post-procedure care and room turnover
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health staff to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications:
• Active and unrestricted state license or certification as an EP Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist, or Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT, RCES, or equivalent certification preferred or required per facility standards
• Experience in electrophysiology lab, cardiac cath lab, or interventional cardiology preferred
• Knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology procedures, mapping systems, and radiation safety
• Strong technical, organizational, and patient-care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity procedural environment
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality procedural care
Pay Rate
$82.09 - $86.97/hour
