ED RN – Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Position Summary
Provide rapid, comprehensive nursing care to patients with a wide range of emergency and acute medical conditions. Perform timely assessments, prioritize care, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid triage and comprehensive patient assessments.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist with emergency procedures, resuscitation, and stabilization.
- Recognize and respond quickly to patient deterioration and critical conditions.
- Provide wound care and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow safety and infection-control standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Emergency Department or acute-care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills.
- Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Pay Rate
$61.23 - $66.11/hour
