Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)
Provide rapid, safe, and comprehensive nursing care to patients with urgent, emergent, and complex medical conditions. The ED RN will assess and prioritize patients, administer treatments, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support timely and effective patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments and triage based on acuity.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
- Assist with emergency procedures, resuscitation, and patient stabilization.
- Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and life-threatening conditions.
- Perform wound care and other nursing interventions as required.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow emergency care, infection control, patient safety, and nursing standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.
- Strong triage, assessment, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
