Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide timely and compassionate care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions. The RN will perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, administer treatments, monitor patient status, and respond effectively to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform triage and comprehensive nursing assessments based on patient acuity.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and changes in patient condition.
- Establish IV access and assist with emergency procedures and interventions.
- Respond to cardiac arrests, trauma, stroke, and other emergency situations.
- Assist physicians with procedures, wound care, airway management, and resuscitation.
- Obtain ECGs, collect specimens, and monitor laboratory and diagnostic results.
- Recognize clinical deterioration and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and emergency care protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, triage, critical care, and medication administration.
- Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN preferred.
- TNCC certification preferred.
- PALS certification preferred based on patient population.
- CEN certification preferred.
- Experience with trauma, cardiac, stroke, and other critical emergencies.
- Strong teamwork and crisis-management skills.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Pay Rate
$61.23 - $66.11/hour
