Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to provide rapid assessment and emergency care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions. The RN will prioritize patient needs, administer treatments, monitor patient status, and collaborate with physicians and the emergency care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform triage and rapid patient assessments based on acuity.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and changes in patient condition.
- Establish IV access and assist with emergency procedures and interventions.
- Respond to cardiac arrests, trauma alerts, stroke alerts, and other emergencies.
- Assist physicians with airway management, wound care, procedures, and resuscitation.
- Obtain ECGs, collect specimens, and monitor diagnostic results.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and emergency care protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, triage, critical care, and medication administration.
- Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$75.71 - $80.59/hour
