Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) to provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions. The ED RN will perform rapid assessments, prioritize care using triage principles, administer emergency treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure timely, safe, and effective patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care using triage protocols
  • Provide emergency nursing care for patients with medical, surgical, traumatic, and behavioral health emergencies
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment
  • Assist with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and life-saving interventions
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, rapid response events, and code situations
  • Operate emergency and critical care equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and infusion pumps
  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, laboratory personnel, radiology staff, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • PALS certification required or preferred based on facility requirements
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, triage, trauma care, cardiac monitoring, and critical care interventions
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred

Pay Rate
$58.94 - $63.82/hour
