ED RN – Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Position Summary
Provide rapid and comprehensive nursing care to patients with emergency and acute medical conditions. Perform timely assessments, prioritize care, respond to emergencies, and support safe patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid triage and comprehensive patient assessments.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist with emergency procedures, resuscitation, and patient stabilization.
- Recognize and respond promptly to patient deterioration and critical conditions.
- Provide wound care and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow safety and infection-control standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous Emergency Department or acute-care experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills.
- Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
