Echocardiographer
We are seeking a skilled Echocardiographer to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images for accurate evaluation of cardiac structure and function. The technologist will operate echocardiography equipment, ensure patient comfort and safety, and collaborate with cardiologists and the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound studies as required.
- Prepare and position patients for examinations and explain procedures clearly.
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment.
- Obtain accurate cardiac images, measurements, and Doppler studies according to established protocols.
- Recognize and document relevant findings and ensure images are suitable for interpretation.
- Assist with specialized or advanced cardiac imaging procedures as required.
- Monitor patient condition and report concerns or significant findings appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and departmental standards.
- Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and dignity.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current certification/credential as an Echocardiographer or Cardiovascular Sonographer.
- RDCS credential through ARDMS or equivalent certification preferred.
- Completion of an accredited cardiovascular or diagnostic medical sonography program preferred.
- Previous echocardiography experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, Doppler techniques, and echocardiographic protocols.
- Excellent technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate diagnostic images.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Dependable, professional, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$69.61 - $74.49/hour
