Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Echocardiographer to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images for interpretation by cardiologists. The Echocardiographer will assess cardiac structures and function while ensuring patient safety and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) according to established protocols.
- Obtain high-quality 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color-flow images.
- Assist with stress echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures as required.
- Prepare and position patients and explain procedures clearly.
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment.
- Recognize abnormal findings and promptly communicate urgent concerns to the appropriate provider.
- Ensure image quality and completeness before submitting studies for interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR and PACS.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and departmental protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Sonography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) credential preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent echocardiography experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and echocardiographic techniques.
- Excellent communication, technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with EMR and PACS systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification.
- Experience with adult echocardiography in hospital or outpatient cardiac settings.
- Experience with stress echo, contrast echo, or transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced cardiovascular environment.
- Commitment to delivering accurate, safe, and patient-centered diagnostic care.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
