Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – ENT Clinic to provide high-quality nursing care in an outpatient Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) clinic. The LPN will assist providers with patient assessments, examinations, minor procedures, medication administration, patient education, and care coordination while ensuring an efficient and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and obtain medical histories, vital signs, and current medications
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during ENT examinations and minor office procedures
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed
- Perform ear irrigations, dressing changes, specimen collection, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice
- Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, post-procedure care, and follow-up instructions
- Schedule referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Prepare and stock examination rooms, instruments, and medical supplies
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient clinic, physician office, or ENT experience preferred
- Knowledge of ENT procedures, patient care, medication administration, and clinical documentation
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Pay Rate
$41.41 - $46.29/hour
