Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The Director of Nursing will provide clinical leadership, manage nursing staff, oversee regulatory compliance, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals and exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight for daily nursing operations and patient care services
- Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff while promoting professional growth and accountability
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care and operational efficiency
- Manage staffing plans, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Monitor quality metrics, patient safety initiatives, and performance improvement programs
- Oversee clinical documentation, infection prevention practices, and risk management activities
- Support staff education, competency assessments, and continuing professional development
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership or management experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Strong leadership, clinical judgment, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team management abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement, and patient safety standards
Pay Rate
$67.13 - $72.00/hour
